IF NO NATIONAL SERVICE FOR TEACHERS, THEN NO NATIONAL SERVICE FOR NURSES
The teacher trainees must be so discombobulated and highly perplexed for trying to challenge the course of government to migrate them unto the National Service Scheme.
What has spoil and make these teacher trainees to go gaga with this challenge is their widely held erroneous notion that they are the supremos or heartbeat of government incumbent professionals and for that matter are beefed up with so much pride and ego inflation to boycott any government policy which in their own parochial sense does not favor them.
They go ahead to challenge these visionary and thoughtful policies and coerce government to doff his hat for them in complying and upholding their own selfish seeking policies.
What these teacher trainees are failing to understand is that, they are not better than other government professional trainees and does not deserve any pamper apart from the equal distribution of the national cake.
The message we, the trainee nurses are sending across to the teacher trainees, government and the entire populace of the country is that if government sanctions favoritism and cahoots with the teacher trainees to succumb to their empty threats, then we, the trainee nurses will have no option than to also threaten government by embarking on a nationwide demonstration on Thursday, 29th November, 2018 heading towards the flagstaff house to register our displeasure and also force government to also lay us off the National Service Scheme since that appears to be the tune that government dances to.
1. If they call themselves teacher trainees, we are also nurse trainees.
2. If they will become professional teachers, we are equally bound to become professional nurses.
3. If they embark on outreaches for their teaching practice, we the trainee nurses embark on clinical practicum in various hospitals dotted across the country on semester basis; of which the Ministry of Health testifies that it affords the nation 40% of healthcare services.
4. If they take monthly allowance, we the trainee nurses equally take monthly allowance
So why is that we have migrated onto the National Service Scheme peacefully and they are resisting it as if government is adding poison to their delicacy?
I believe this facsimile would do the teacher trainees a great deal of good to deter them from the fallacious arguments and grounds they are ploughing.
Once again, If no national service for teacher trainees, then no national service for nurse trainees
