Sista Afia Explains Why She Didn’t Feature Sarkodie To Her Maiden Album ‘Queen Solomon’
Ghanaian singer, Francesca Duncan Williams aka Sista Afia has explained why she didn’t feature Africa’s best rapper alive, Michael Owusu Addo aka Sarkodie on her album dubbed ‘Queen Solomon.’
According to Sista Afia during an interview with Sammy Flex on Zylofon FM’s ‘Showbiz Agenda’, there are upcoming projects between herself and the Sarkcess Music’s boss, Sarkodie which is the reason why he is not on her album.
She said, “I have planned something for the song I did with Sarkodie which I haven’t done yet so I didn’t want to put it on the album because I want to pull a surprise with it besides Sarkodie is someone I have always wanted to work with.
I have been listening to him since childhood so it is a privilege for me to have the opportunity to work with him. I just want to keep it private for now”.
Sammy Flex further asked her to disclose if there are other reasons for her weight loss.
“There are too many reasons why I lost weight for myself and health reasons. To start with, I have always wanted to lose weight because when I was size 18, I was very huge and then I wanted to be a performer in a way I could feel comfortable with myself.
At that time, I wasn’t comfortable with myself and I was always getting sick and easily got tired whenever I performed so then I went to the gym and told them I am a musician so I want to lose weight and get all these things working. So they gave me a diet plan and got me a personal trainer besides being fat is not good and there is already diabetes in my family”, she said.
