WITHDRAWAL OF NDC COMMUNICATORS FROM AGOO FM’s POLITICAL TALK SHOWS

The Eastern Regional Communications Directorate of NDC wishes to notify the management of Agoo FM and the general public of the party's decision to withdraw NDC communicators from political talk shows of Agoo FM.  

At every given time, the party considers the media as a crucial stakeholder in politics, governance and development of this nation. To this effect, it's not without pain, that NDC in the Region takes such a tough decision.

However, in recent times, the attitude of political talk show host, Kwame Koranteng, popularly known as 'K.K', and his producers at Agoo FM conveys summary insult!

The NDC has utmost regard for rules, conventions and standards of the radio establishment, but the host has consistently treated the party and its communicators with utter disrespect on numerous occasions.

From 2017 to January 2019, the host mostly scornfully refused the NDC participation on the newspaper review sessions of the Agoo FM Breakfast Show but in all the instances hosted NPP DCE's. 

We have suffered enough of the host's demeaning attitude and biases towards the NDC. We are a great political establishment that deserves the respect of individuals or groups in the media, as we accord them the respect they deserve. 

Until the station and host acknowledges the relevance of the NDC as a political party to their brand and programming, the NDC will have no representation on Agoo FM’s political talk shows henceforth.
