Former MP Attempts Assault On Communication Member Of NDC


The former member of parliament for Afram plains south, Hon. Joseph Appiah Boateng is alleged to have attempted assault on an NDC communication member who double as the Tease Asemblyman and  incoming constituency secretary Hon. Dzekunini Augustine while he was in his bath room bathing.

Speaking with the Press, Hon. Dzekunini Augustine alleged that Hon. Joseph Appiah has been threatening him for a while now due to a radio interview that he granted which did not favour him Joseph Appiah Boateng. The interview which questioned who is behind the skirt and browse campaign in the 2016 general election in constituency.

He added that after the interview he was able to bring out facts behind the skirt and browse campaign which he has seen that the truth has exposed the former MP (Joseph Appiah Boateng) that he is not legible for contesting parliamentary seat on the ticket of NDC.

Hon. Dzekunini Augustine further stated that he was in his wash room while he heard a lady screaming “Kwadzo stop! Kwadzo stop!!" (Referring to the former Legislator) On  top of her voice and to his surprise after cleaning the soap lather from his face with water, he saw the former MP (Joseph Appiah Boateng ) in his wash room trying to hit him on his head which God-willing he managed to escape with the intervention of his brother.

He added that after he managed to escape from the struggle with his towel on his waist, he took to his heel to Hon. Theodore Doe for him to escort him to the Police in which they went and lodged a complained to the Kwahu Tease Police commander.

He further said, due to the way things went on, he was asked to sleep over night at the Police station to avoid any further action by the Former MP Joseph Appiah Boateng.

Meanwhile several attempts were made to get in touch with the Former MP via Phone call to hear his side of the story but it all prove futile.

It will be recall that this same former MP was arrested for battery on May, 26th, 2012 and was associated with a lot of criminal cases which made him not able to contest for the parliamentary seat on the ticket of NDC in 2016 general election.

Hon. Joseph Appiah Boateng was asked by his party NDC to withdraw from the parliamentary race in 2016 general election due to the degree of criminal cases leveled against.
